Fractured access: The built environment, urban development, and uneven use
A report focusing on the interplay between the built environment, users, and space in the Culver City Arts District in Los Angeles, California. An eclectic set of methods was used during eleven weeks of intensive research, including participant observation, land use and Lynch analyses, user/space analysis, and secondary research of design and development documentation. These analyses led to a set of recommendations for improvements in the district, as well as proposals for interventions into public spaces.
